CBD Benefits Anxiety, Mood, Sleep and Much More
I am so intrigued by the CBD issue and I am grateful to CV Sciences for sponsoring these interviews on CBD. It is a confusing marketplace and there is a lot of misinformation as well as a lot of hype and hyperbole. I have a perspective that sees this issue from several angles. There are federal and state issues to consider. For some there are legal and moral issues that influence many. Big pharma certainly has its sights on CBD. So the future status of CBD is somewhat uncertain. As a side note: if you want CBD to be legal on a national level, then contact your legislators. Let them hear from you.
For the consumer there is a great deal of interest in CBD and there is no shortage of information. What is missing for many people is understanding the distinctions in the marketplace, and there are many. We cover some of these issues in previous interviews and you should listen to our library of interviews on PlusCBD Oil for a more complete understanding of the topic. It is the responsibility of the consumer to learn about the products they purchase. You should know something about the company that makes your supplements. You should be able to call the company and ask questions or get information. Are they transparent about the company and products? You need to understand what is in a product, how is it produced and how it is used. You need to beware of advertising and claims that are too good to be true and/or are illegal medical claims. Any company that makes a claim should be able to produce the evidence of the claim. Claims with no evidence should be suspect. These are not always easy for consumers to do. I believe that independent health foods stores are often your most personal and knowledgeable resource. In any case I am here to assert that CV Sciences is one company you can trust in every aspect.
In this interview Dr. Hector Lopez will discuss the science, biology and application of PlusCBD Oil from CV Sciences. Not all CBD products are the same so remember that our discussion is only referencing this particular CBD.
The first part of our interview we discuss how CBD exerts its effects in the human body. Part of this discussion is on the endocannabinoid system. What is this system and what is the difference between endocannabinoids and phytocannabinoids from hemp. What are the differences between CBD from hemp and THC from marijuana?
Secondly we will discuss the various applications for CBD for the average consumer. Perhaps one of the most important applications is for balancing neural health. It is the delicate balance between our nerves being calm and excited. It seems that CBD helps to normalize this balance. When we improve the endocannabinoid balance we may see benefits in some of the challenges of daily living.
The areas of improvement that we discuss are:
- Stress
- Anxiety
- Mood
- Sleep
Dr. Lopez also mentions potential benefits in these areas as well:
- Inflammation and Pain
- Inner Ocular Pressure
- Immune Support
- Joint Problems
- Weight Management
Look forward to future interviews exploring these topics. Remember also that CBD has been used for more serious nervous system disorders. We don’t discuss those in this interview however we would be remiss if we did not mention that it was the discovery of the benefits of CBD for more serious neurological issues that sparked the interest in CBD that we have today.
It is also important to note that PlusCBD Oil has an impressive safety profile and very low adverse events reported. It is being used by adults and children. So it is safe to try and experiment with. CBD has no psychoactive effects. Its effects are calming and soothing. It is not a sedative, yet it can help you sleep. Suggested doses are to start with 3 mg. and gradually increase week by week until you discover the most effective dose.
