362 – Brazilian Red Propolis Has Unique Properties and Benefits

What are the distinctions that make Brazilian Red Propolis special?

In this interview, Mark Kaylor discusses Brazilian Red Propolis. In our previous interviews we have discussed the Brown Propolis and the Green Propolis. What these three types of propolis have in common is that they are all propolis and they have similar benefits, such as immune support*.  But it is their distinctions from one another that make each one unique and we discuss these in our three interviews with Mark.

The name propolis means (pro= before) + (polis=city).  Propolis is an amazing substance that is strategically placed by honeybees at the entrance to their hives to serve as the defender of the hive. As a consequence, the beehive is one of the most sterile environments known by man even at high degrees of temperature and humidity. Civilizations have relied on bee propolis to support their health for thousands of years.*

Red propolis is considered the rarest and most beneficial of all of the classes of propolis.

  • Brazilian Red Propolis has the highest level of antioxidants when compared to all foods on the USDA Database for ORAC. Stunning Total ORAC of 3,540 μmol TE/. Let that sink in. The highest of all foods is amazing!
  • Brazilian Red Bee Propolis offers the highest diversity of flavonoids among all existing types of world propolis.
  • Key nutrients like pterocarpans, flavonones, isoflavones, chalcones, isoflavans, lignans and isoflavonols are all found in this product.
  • A Natural Source of Compounds Neo-Vestitol and Vestitol

What is more amazing is the amount of scientific studies on propolis and specifically on red propolis and the nutritional benefits that are being discovered.

It is a natural source of compounds such as Neovestitol, and Vestitol and contains the most variety of flavonoids of any world propolis.

Hi Mark, Can the red bee propolis really go bad or expire? I found bottle I’d had dated 8/2016. It’s been stored in a cool dry place. I’d think many many years ago they probably didn’t put expiration dates on these things. They look good & still as if loose sand in the capsules. I feel good about taking these. And since this was available to ask, I thought I would. Thank you!
